The new program will be implemented for a period of three (3) years and will continue to provide support in the areas of institution building strategic planning, project development, marketing and promotion, and monitoring and evaluation. Recognizing the high level of accomplishment under the existing BOT program, the new program will emphasize: (1) targeting of environmental projects related to domestic water supply and solid waste management and selected social service sectors (information technology, affordable housing, public health, education and other public service infrastructure) for private investments; (2) promoting of larger projects including those of a regional nature and the bundling of local government projects to improve efficiencies and enhance local and international business interests; and (3) institutionalizing a BOT training and research center. The estimated budget to carry out this new program is $3,000,000. A cost reimbursement completion type contract that uses performance-based contracting method is anticipated for this procurement.
