COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF DECEMBER 22,1997 PSA#1997NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT Notice of intent to
award a sole source contract under an established Basic Ordering
Agreement (BOA) with the Library of Congress. The Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) intends to renew its subscription for
Legi-Slate's automated databases service, which tracks all bills before
Congress and provides access to information back to the 96th Congress
Online. Through an Interagency Agreement (IAG), the EPA is to receive
Legi-Slate legislative database services under the Federal Library
Committee's FY1998 contract with Legi-Slate. The period of performance
is one year. It is not anticipated that any other source will be
capable of performing the proposed contract. There is no solicitation
available. Therefore, respondents to this announcement possessing the
ability to provide the services stated above must submit written
notification to the attention of Margaret Milligan at fax
number(202)564-2554, or by mail at the above address, referencing
W8LEGIS-37, that fully demonstrates their ability to satisfy the
requirements above. If no affirmative responses are received within 10
days from the publication date of this synopsis, the Contracting
Officer will proceed with this acquisition to Legi-Slate. No award will
be based upon any offer or proposal received in response to this
notice. Telephonic inquiries or responses will not be honored. This is
a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than
