This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 5211, and small business size standard is $5.0 million. Delivery to be approximately the week of January 19, 1998. Delivery is FOB Destination to the Lewis Drain construction site on Rutherford Road, 1.6 miles east of the junction of Rutherford Road and Highway 111. Rutherford Road is approximately 8 miles north of the City of Brawley on Highway 111. Construction site is on the Lewis Drain, located on the south side of Rutherford Road and the east side of Lewis Drain. The City of Brawley is located in the Imperial Valley of California. Item 0001: Bedding Material: Class 3 fine sand, Quantity = 300 Cubic Yards. Item 0002: Gravel: 3/8-inch, 6,000 cubic yards, uniformly graded, 100% pass through 3/8-inch screen, no more than 10% pass through 1/4-inch screen, and none through #200 sieve. Instructions to Offerors: -Commercial -- This is a Commercial Item Acquisition. -Evaluation -- The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, and lowest price received. -Offers may be submitted on the SF-1449 or letterhead stationery.
