The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), has a requirement to purchase a Fluorimager 595 compatible to an existing Phosopho Imager from Molecular Dynamics, Inc., 880 East Arques Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086 by other than full and open competition. The following outlines the specifications for the required equipment: 1) Fluorimager 595 and Pentium Workstation which includes: Complete 220v fluorocsence imaging system including 488nm & 514nm laser excitation. Includes a glass tray, an extended tray, and a microplate tray. Internal 515nm long pass filter included with four selectable emission filters (530nm, 570nm, 590nm, and 610nm bandpass) for multiple color applications. Includes ImageQuant for Windows NT, scan control for use with Windows NT, Fluroimager system software, SCSI cable, and User's Manual. Workstation consists of Pentium Pro 200MHz mini tower, 32MB EDO RAM, 2.0GB or larger EIDE hard drive, 8X or faster IDE CD-ROM dirve, 17" monitor, SVGA 2MB video adapter, 3Com 10/100Base TX Fast Ethernet adapter, Windows NT 4.0 MS Office Pro, ImageQuant for Windows NT Software. One year warrenty beginning date of shipment. 2) Imagequant for Macintosh for one user -- IQMC110. 3) Delivery and Installation. The NIDDK also requires a copy of the vendor's commercial price list and descriptive literature for the above items. The equipment needed has specifications that must be met and are described in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) package. All quotations must be within the Simplified Acquistion Threshold of $100,000. It is anticiapted that the RFQ package NIH-NIDDK-98-330 will be available 15 (fifteen) days after the publication date of the synopsis. Receipt of the quotations will be due 10 (ten) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is January 24, 1998.
