E-MAIL: Click here to e-mail the contracting officer, glendej@wpgate1.wpafb.af.mil. A Center Level Acquisition Strategy Panel (ASP), chaired by L/Gen Kadish, was conducted on 17 Dec 97. The team was tasked to consider whether the requirement can be met through an existing contract. The ASP will be reconvened the first week of January 1998 to discuss the findings of the team. Industry will be advised of the decision at the earliest possible date. Qualification Packages (due 19 Dec 97) will continue to be reviewed and the results will be briefed when the ASP reconvenes. The demonstrations, currently scheduled to begin on 12 Jan 97 as a part of the qualification screening, are hereby postponed. If it is determined that the FIRST requirement cannot be met through an existing contract, we will proceed with our original source selection strategy. In this event, the demonstrations (referenced in our CBD Notice of 01 Dec 97, as modified 04 Dec 97) will be rescheduled. (0353)
