Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) intends to procure, via a competitive solicitation, technical services required for the analysis, translation, and remediation of NATURAL Report and Structured Code Year 2000 deficiencies. Source code remediation shall be accomplished by an automated application using both standard and client based data field transformation rules. It is intended that said NATURAL code renovation services shall be procured against a Requirements Subcontract covering up to 5,000,000 lines of code with options for additional lines of code. Release of requirements shall be on a task order basis which will identify the application, size, responsible NASA Center, and agreed to schedule for completion. The period of performance for this subcontract shall commence on or about 15 January 1998 and end on 31 December 1999. Due to the urgency of this procurement, it is CSC's intention to award this pending subcontract on the basis of oral presentations to be held beginning the first part of January 1998. CSC intends to provide a formal Request For Proposal (RFP) package by amendment to this synopsis by the close of business, 19 December 1997. After receipt, interested parties shall submit a concise letter detailing company history, qualifications for this specific type service, and a designated point of contact for coordination of oral presentations at Marshall Space Flight Center, AL based on the above time frame.
