The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision as necessary to perform inspection, testing, maintenance, repairs and alterations to the following types of fire extinguishing systems located at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine: Automatic Sprinkler Systems, Foam Extinguishing Systems, Gaseous Extinguishing Systems, Wet and Dry Chemical Extinguishing Systems. Maintenance of initiating and singling circuits, electronic controllers and components, communications lines, control panels, alarm panels and similar components of fire protection systems are not within the scope or intent of the specification. The SIC code for this procurement is 7389 with a size standard of $5,000,000. The period of performance is one calendar year with the option for an additional 4 years.
