R -- SUPPORT FOR FINANCIAL IMPROVEMENTS POC Jim Harden Contract Specialist The Department of the Treasury, FMS, intends to award a sole source modification to a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with the Council for Excellence in Government, 1301 K Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005. The Council is a national, non-profit organization designed to improve the performance of government by facilitating high level dialogue between the federal government and the private sector. The Financial Management Service has initiated a project to explore the finance office of the future and the Council will assist the FMS in constructing a strategic framework and in refining the strategic vision of the project. The Council is uniquely qualified for this project because of its capabilities, experience, and position as a non-partisian and objective agent for change at the intersection of government and the private sector. It uniquely combines the ability to convene the appropriate officials of both the public and private sectors at the strategic level and to maximize their resultsthrough application of state-of-the-art conferencing and technology. The modification will increase the value of the BOA by $50,000, to a total of $150,000. Interested parties shall submit capability statements including detailed technical information and other technical literature which fully demonstrates the ability to meet the above requirement.
