V -- VESSEL TRANSFER SUPPORT SERVICES SOL N00167-98-R-0011 POC Roger N. Branstiter (301) 227-5782 The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, has a requirement for Vessel transfer services in the general location of Tongue-of-the-Ocean and Exuma Sound in the Bahamas. The required vessel shall be steel or aluminum hull Crewboat or equivalent type, U. S. documented, United States Coast Guard (USCG) certified, with enclosed pilot house. Vessel shall have at least two diesel engines and two counter rotating propellers. Vessel shall be USCG certified for a minimum of fifty (50) government/contractor personnel plus 4,000 pounds of hand-carried equipment and luggage. Seating capacity must be for a minimum of 30 government personnel. Vessel shall be capable of at least fifteen (15) knots when fully loaded with the personnel and cargo, in sea conditions up to and including sea state 3. The contract type shall be of a Time and Material type, with a base period of performance of 2 years, with three 1 year options. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 15 February 1998.
