Contracting Officer -- LTC James L. Coonce, 615-313-2650. This is a pre-solicitation notice for Project No. PSXE 942008, entitled "Repair Fire Dection System". Successful contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals as required to install new fire detection/alarm systems in buildings 101, 102, 110, 123, 126, 128, 134, 240, 241, 246, 254, 262, 263, 320, and 340 at McGhee Tyson ANG Base. Work shall include new fire alarm control panels, new peripheral devices and new conductors. Contract will include removal of the existing system in each building once the new systems are functional. Material specifications require compatibility with the existing Simplex fire detection control system located at the Base Fire Department. Work will be performed at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, McGhee Tyson Airport, Knoxville, TN. Performance time is 270 days. Plans and Specifications will be available on or about January 8, 1998. A non-refundable certified check or money order is required for plans and specifications in the amount of $50.00 made payable to the Treasurer of the United States. The solicitation itself will be furnished at no cost. Plans and specifications will also be available for review at various plans houses within the state.
