65 -- MEDICAL AND SURGICAL SUPPLIES SOL 243-RFP-98-2010 DUE 011398 POC Kathy Russell, (907) 729-2967 OR FAX (907) 729-2977 The Alaska Area Native Health Service (AANHS), Regional Supply Service Center (RSSC), has a requirement for providing Medical Surgical Supplies, on a two(2) to ten(10) day delivery service for the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) customers. The scope of the demand for this service is difficult to estimate, however, we anticipate that the potential is extremely high given the volume of items required. Quality customer service is of particular importance. For these reasons, in order to insure sufficient capability to fill the high volume of orders whcih will occur, and in order to benefit from the highly competitive industry, both in pricing and servicing, AANHS intends to award one(1) contract that includes supplies and delivery service. The Contractor must be able to provide the following: 1) Provide necessary staff and supplies to manage, and deliver a wide range of Medical/Surgial supplies; 2) Accept orders 24 hours per day, seven(7) days a week, to include accepting orders on-line, via fax, or telephone; 3) Accept payment by the U.S. Government Credit Card, or method(s) specified elsewhere in the agreement; 4) Provide and distrubute a catalog to AANHS, RSSC, which includes all products covered by the contract. This catalog shall be made available electronically; 5) Provide a return goods policy equal to or better than the program available to commercial customers; 6) Provide on a routine basis (at least monthly) various management reports that reflect performance and customer service indicators, sales by product, and customer. 7) The Contractor is encouraged to monitor the market, be aggressive to improving their pipeline of distribution, and offer price breaks under the Voluntary Discount Increases Concept. All responsible sources may submit an offer. The Solicitation Package will be ready on or about December 29, 1997. The Solicitation Package will outline the requirements that a contractor must be able to perform on this contract. (0353)
