The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington
has a requirement to acquire Gridlock System Computers (GSC) for the
Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The GSC provides U.S. Naval Battle
Groups with improved Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) defense capabilities. The
GSC is a ruggedized Versa Module European (VME) bus-based computer
system having the same footprint as the AN/UYK-44. The GSC must be
capable of executing a minimum of 78 million instructions per second
and have a minimum of 8 megabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM) with
the maximum access time of 30 ns. It must execute the SGS code and the
Real Time Operating System (RTOS) plus a 50 percent overhead and be
capable of executing a complete gridlock and track correlation software
cycle in a maximum of ten seconds. Built-in-test capability enabling
fault isolation to a single Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU) is required.
The corrective maintenance Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR) for the unit
must not exceed 20 minutes. Award of a firm fixed priced contract with
a base year and four option years is anticipated. The successful
offeror will be required to supply and maintain the GSC with projected
services to commence in June of 1998. This requirement will utilize
