INDUSTRY BRIEFING OF THE NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER WEAPONS DIVISION, TEST AND EVALUATION COMPETENCY 5.0 FUTURE ACQUISITION STRATEGY The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPNS), China Lake and Point Mugu, CA, will present Industry Briefings to the Oxnard Plain Defense Services Industry Executive Association (DSIEA) and the China Lake Defense Contractors Association (DCA). The briefings are a follow-up to the briefing provided to DSIEA in January 1997 and will also provide information about the Test and Evaluation Competency Code 5.0 Acquisition Strategy. The briefings will discuss service contracts for all departments within the T&E Competency and the impacts to these contracts by the new acquisition strategy. Questions and answers will be entertained at both sessions. Any companies that currently have service contracts with NAWCWPNS or that may have an interest in bidding on future contracts are invited to attend. Key speakers at both locations will be: Mr. Steve Mendonca, NAWCWPNS 5.0 and CAPT. R. E. Cowley, AIR-2.0. Both briefings will take place Tuesday, 13 Jan 1998. The DSIEA briefing will be conducted from 0730 to 1100, at Veda Corp., 5141 Verdugo Way, Camarrillo, CA. There will be a small charge for refreshments and snacks. The DCA briefing will be conducted at the NAWCWPNS Conference Center, Sierra Room, Building 00874, located at the corner of King St. and Laurtsen Rd., China Lake, CA 93555; from 13:00 to 16:30.
