U -- FLOATING PLANT AND DREDGING OPERATIONS-SAFETY REQUIREMENTS PROSPECT TRAINING COURSE SOL DACW87-98-Q-0025 DUE 021398 POC Contract Specialist Laura Harbin (205) 895-1171 (Site Code DACA87) Offeror shall provide the services necessary to develop and present a course of instruction entitled "Floating Plant and Dredging Operations- Safety Requirements." This will be a firm-fixed price type contract with two option years. Sessions scheduled for FY98 are a follows: 98-01, New Orleans, LA, 2-5 Jun 98; 98-02, New Orleans, LA, 8-11 Jun 98; Course locations for option years FY99 and FY00 are New Orleans, LA as follows: 99-01, 22-25 Jun 99; 99-02, 28 Jun -- 1 Jul 99; 00-01, 5-8 Jun 2000; 99- 02, 11-14 Jun 2000. Sessions consist of 32 hours of classroom instruction. Offeror shall provide a team of 2-3 instructors. The lead instructor should have a minimum of 500 hours per year working experience within the past 5 of 7 years of safety and occupational health experience within the floating plant and dredging industry; 2 courses per year experience for 3 of the past 5 years teaching referenced short courses of instruction; current knowledge of the appropriate CFR's, Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements; Engineer Regulations, Engineer Manual, Technical Manuals and related technical publications within the floating plant and/or dredging industry. Other instructors should have 400 hours relevant working experience; 2 courses per year teaching relevant courses; and related knowledge of appropriate publications. Technical evaluation criteria will be set forth in the solicitation scheduled to be issued on or about 16 Dec 97. Copies of the solicitation shall be obtained by written request without cost. For the purpose of this solicitation, any concern whose gross annual receipts over the past 3 years does not exceed $5,000,000 is considered a small business.
