NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for fabrication and delivery of radio frequency (RF) absorber for operation from 300MHz to at least 18 GHz. Each RF absorber is either a curved pyramidal design or a standard wedge design for compact range applications. This procurement is being under the FAR 13.6 -- Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 3999 and 500, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurment is DO-A7. The anticipated release date of RFQ is on or about 1/12/98 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 2/12/98. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
