NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) 67500-905 on a sole source basis for an LM-1400 cpu upgrade and multi-user MS processor kit which includes: a sparc-based cpu, a TG interface card, a Fiber interface card, 12' fiber cable, one Model Source diagnostic adapter, documentation, and multi-user/simulation software license. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Synopsys, Logic Modeling Group as they are the only known distributor of this upgrade. The authority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
