ON-BOARD FUEL SATURATION SYSTEM AND LOW-COST REFUELING STATION. Contact
Mr. Paul Grahovac. Potential technology development and licensing
opportunity with LMITCO, the prime operating contractor for the
Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and
Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). LMITCO has developed and demonstrated
an on-board LNGV fuel saturation system that: (1) provides a basis for
improved fuel delivery systems for LNG which do not require the LNG to
be warmed prior to transfer to the vehicle tank, (2) allows the vehicle
tank fuel to be warmed incrementally, (3) maintains desired pressure
independent of the consumption rate, (4) allows quick pressurization,
and (5) avoids the use of electronic switches, solenoids, and
computers. The technology has been fully demonstrated on an LNG vehicle
and is ready for licensing and introduction into the market. LMITCO has
also developed a concept for a new low-cost refueling station based on
this new LNG vehicle technology. LMITCO is soliciting a written
indication of interest from industry partners interested in funding a
collaborative technology development project and or entering into a
license agreement for the purpose of developing and commercializing
this technology. License terms will include an up-front licensing fee
and a running royalty based on a percentage of sales. This is not an
opportunity to provide goods or services to LMITCO or the Department of
Energy. This Request for Interest (RFI) will close to response 30 days
after publication. Interested parties should send a description of
their company and their ability to commercialize this technology to the
address below. Paul Grahovac, Account Executive, Technology Transfer
Office, LMITCO, P. O. Box 1625, Idaho Falls, ID 83415-3805. E-mail is
