D -- MODIFICATION TO HCFA FACILITIES MANAGEMENT CONTRACT (FMC) TO SUPPORT EXPANDED REQUIREMENTS SOL 500-95-0027 DUE 120197 POC Kimberly Tatum HCFA intends to enter into negotiations with Computer Science Corporation (CSC) and issue a modification to contract number 500-95-0027 to extend the contract for a twelve month option renewal from September 1, 2000 through August 31, 2001, if required. The procurement will be conducted under other than full and open competition, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. The twelve month extension will accommodate residual issues as a result of millennium system compliance. In addition, the operation support requirements are being expanded due to system modification requirements, resulting from an increase in Millenium system testing and compliance efforts, Balanced Budget Act, and Operation Restore Trust.
