The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire through other than full and open competition on a sole source basis Emergency Room and Acute Care Clinic Services to be performed at the Naval Hospital, Cherry Point, NC. The contractor will establish, operate, and manage a Level III emergency room at the Naval Hospital. In addition, the contractor will establish, operate, and manage an acute care clinic to provide primary and acute healthcare during required hours of operation. The services, which comprise a basic quantity of 10,800 visits with three options for 2,500 additional visits each, are required beginning on 1 April 1998 through 30 June 1998, with three one-month option periods comprising 3,600 visits each. The services will be acquired through modification to the existing contract with the incumbent contractor, Acute Care Specialists, in order to ensure continuity of services until the award of the follow-on contract resulting from solicitation N00140-98-R-L304.
