41 -- REFRIGERATION, AIR CONDITIONING AND AIR CIRCULATING EQUIPMENT SOL DAAB07-98-Q-6005 DUE 012298 POC Simone Johnson/Linda Brunner, Contract Specialist (703)325-2602/(703)325-4635, Margaret Proctor, Contracting Officer, (703)325-2859 The Cecom Acquisition Center intends to award two seprate purchase orders for an 18,500 BTUH Air Conditiner, High Temperature, R-410A. The procurement is being done for evaluation purposes, and requires delivery by April 5, 1998. The following specifications should be adhered to. The unit shall operate on R-410A. All materials shall be compatible with this refrigerant and the Polyol Ester (POE) lubricant. The condenser shall be of the "extruded microchannel tube-fin design". The refrigeration circuit shall contain a high pressure cut-off-switch, a sight glass, and service access ports. It is strongly desired that a scroll compressor be used. The required capacity of the unit is 18,500 BTUH at 120F outdoor and 90F DB/75F WB indoor conditions. Minimum evaporator airflow of 590 cfm at 0.25" w.g. external static pressure is required. The unit should be capable of operation at 120F/12oF indoor/outdoor conditions for at least one hour. It is desired that the unit would operate at 125F outdoors. It is also desired that the unit have the capability of operating in the cooling mode at 0F outdoor and 70F indoor conditions. The design should include provisions to include electric heating elements capable of providing 14,300 BTUH of heat. Contractors who feel they can meet these specifications and are interested in participating in this procurement should contact the contracting office on or before 9 January 1998 to be considered.
