J -- MAINTENANCE, SUPPORT AND REPAIR OF DSSP SUBMERGENCE VEHICLES SOL N00024-97-R-6245 POC Jeff Thrasher, PCO, (703) 602-8306 EXT 658 The Naval Sea Systems intends to award a sole source contract on a cost-plus-fixed-fee basis, to Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, 555 Technology Square, Cambridge, MA 02139. The award will be for approximately a total of 455,000 man-hours consisting of the basic year, FY98, and options for four additional years, FY00 into FY03. The procurement is to provide labor and services as required for technical and industrial support to the Navy for the maintenance and repair of DSSP Submergence vehicles, associated support ships handling and support systems and other DSSP systems and assets. A detailed technical data package suitable for a competitive acquisition does not exist. This is a continuation of previous work requiring a detailed knowledge of the vehicles involved.
