The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) has the following announcement: Interested sources are sought to perform accounting services in support of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service Commissary Accounting in Columbus, OH. The contractor shall receive data from commissaries and Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) HQ, perform reconciliation of reports, prepare general and subsidiary ledgers, and account for appropriated funds. This procurement will be conducted as part of a cost comparison under the Commercial Activity OMB Circular A-76 guidelines. Anticipated award is 12/98 for a base year and four option years. An industry conference will be held sometime in the near future to discuss a draft statement of work, proposed contract type, evaluation criteria, and industry questions.
