This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00244-98-R-0031 applies and is issued as a Request for Proposal. The agency need is for portable instrumentation recorders comprised of a tape transport unit, control unit, and signal processing unit operated as integrated system or individual remote units to record/store computer data on digital or analog format. Requirement is for FFP contract for one line item. Item 0001: qty 2 ea including spare/repair parts list, COTS manuals, and special tools/test equipment list.
