The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC) is contemplating awarding a Sole Source procurement to Kistler Instrument Corp, 75 John Glenn DR, Amherst NY 14228-2171 for an Accelerometer, '20 G' DC/Low Level. The accelerometer has built in signal conditioning to provide an acceleration range of +/- 20 g with a sensitivity of 50 mV/g and a shock range at 200us half sine of 2000g. The frequency response of the accelerometer is 0 to 50 Hz with linearity of +/- 5%FS and a transverse sensitivity (max) of 1%. The output is differential with zero g at 2.5 V +/- .25 V and the phase shift at 10 Hz is 2 Deg. The temperature range is -40 to 85 deg C operating and -55 to 125 deg C storage. The supply voltage is 9 to 18 VDC at 8 ma (single polarity). The weight of the accelerometer is less than 8 grams. The size of the accelerometer is less than 0.2 X 0.7 X 0.75 inches with mounting provisions for 2 each 4-40 screws. The accelerometer has an integral 0.47 meter length cable harness.
