COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JANUARY 5,1998 PSA#2004ELECTRONIC FILING FOR LOW INCOME HOUSING CREDIT The Internal Revenue
Service (IRS) is planning to conduct an automated pilot program during
1998 for Low-Income Housing Credit (LIHC) forms to be filed
electronically (via modem to modem). This pilot program will be
available without geographic limitation, although all processing is
centralized at the Internal Revenue Service Center in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. Participants must secure prior authorization from the IRS
and will be required to test before acceptance into the program. The
LIHC pilot program is being offered to State Housing Agencies and
