15 -- PURCHASE OF A NEW AMERICAN CAMPION SCOUT 8GCBC SOL 8198-09 DUE 012998 POC Alf Aanensen, 907-271-3700 Purchase of one 1998 single engine aircraft, American Champion Scout 8GCBC for use by the Department of the Interior (DOI) in Alaska. In 1996/1997 the DOI evaluated single engine aircraft to determine a suitable replacement for its aging PA-18 Supercub aircraft. That evaluation has determined that the Scout met mission profiles for use by the DOI. As a result, it intends to procure on a non-competitive basis one aircraft to replace an accident damanged PA-18. That replacement is required to be on site in the early spring of 1998. Solicitation No. 8198-09 will be issued to American Champion Manufacturing Company in Rochester, Wisconsin, on or about January 15, 1998. (0365)
