Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center
(TACOM-ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, 07806-5000, is currently
seeking interested sources to offer commercial and/or
non-developmental item, state-of-the-art solutions to hardware problems
concerning our existing 5.56mm ammunition, high speed production
process at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Independence, Missouri.
The specific details of this requirement can be found via the internet
only, at the following website:

sources are encouraged to offer solutions to single hardware components
of either the Case Submodule or Load & Assemble Submodule, or to both
submodules in their entirety. In addition, the U.S. Army has identified
an immediate need for a replacement frequency drive unit for the Trim
Converter; the replacement must be compatible with existing trim
motors. The U.S. Army is not seeking recommendations for system process
improvements, merely but state-of-the-art hardware replacements only.
This is not a request for proposal. While there is no current funding
for this requirement and no immediate award will be made as a result of
the request for information, the U.S. Army has a sincere desire to
identify interested sources. Interested parties should provide relevant
catalogues, brochures or hardware technical data no later than January
