66 -- LASER THREAD MEASURING SYSTEM SOL SP071098R0002 DUE 012998 POC Linda Dodson (614) 692-3430 The high precision laser measurement system should be computer controlled, non-contact, precision measurement instrument for threaded working plug gages and fasteners. The system will provide complete, automatic and accurate documentation that includes digitilized thread forms, data in inch or metric units, automatic comparison to standards, repeatability and accuracy, and export capability to Drawing Exchange Format (DXF) and ASCII formats. The system will measure internal and external threads to six inches in diameter including pipe threads, provide and compare results in accordance with: MIL-S-7742D, MIL-S-8879C, FED-STD H28/20A (System 23, Safety Critical Threads), ANSI/ASME B1.1 (Unified Inch Screw Threads-UN (Unified Constant Pitch Thread Series) & UNR (Unified Constant Pitch Thread Series with a .108p to .144p Controlled Root Radius)), ANSI/ASME B1.2 (Gages and Gaging for Unified Inch Screw Threads), ANSI/ASME B1.3M (Screw Thread Gaging Systems for Dimensional Acceptability -- UN, UNR, UNJ (Unified Thread Series with a .15011p to .18042p Controlled Rood Radius), M (Metric) & MJ (Metric with a .15011 to .18042p Controlled Root Radius) -- System 22 & 23), ANSI/ASME B1.7 (Nomenclature, Definitions and Letter Symbols for Screw Threads) ANSI/ASME B1.15 (Unified Inch Screw Threads -- UNJ), ANSI/ASME B1.13 & B1.21 (M, MJ Profiles, National Aerospace Standards), ANSI/ASME B1.20 & B1.20.3 (General Purpose and Dryseal Pipe Threads).
