This is a market survey. TACOM-ARDEC is seeking information and potential sources to procure commercial off-the-shelf,non-developmental ammunition for test and evaluation. There is a potential for adoption and production for armed services use. The ammunition is desired to interface with standard issue Caliber .50 Special Application Sniper Rifles and the XM107 Rifle. The governments objective is to obtain an ammunition cartridge that will be very accurate against individual point targets at extended ranges (100m+) yet also be an affordable training round. The anticipated minimum required terminal effects are to be cap- able of defeating personal body armor and similar targets. Interested firms should submit literature brochures not exceeding twenty (20) pages describing their technical capabilities, compatibility with various weapons, dispersion at various ranges, current commercial product ordering information and price etc. in re- sponse to the aforementioned criteria. This is only a MARKET SURVEY, a pre- solicitation notice will be published. Respondents should submit their qualification data within 45 days from the date of this publication.
