65 -- VESTIBULAR CHAIR SYSTEM SOL 541-113-98 DUE 011498 POC Marilyn Scheck, Contracting Officer, (440) 838-6068 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to award a Sole Source contract to CNC Engineering, P.O. Box 75567, Seattle, WA. 98125 for a Model VRC-V110 Vestibular Rotary Chair. This system is used for testing the subject's vestibular system under computer generated velocity profiles up to 300 deg./sec. with accelerations greater than 800 deg/sec. The chair construction is an improved model of the Templin chair with redesigned safety hardware. System warranty is 120 days after installation. This rotary chair system is specifically designed to integrate with the Phase Angel Scloral Search Coil System also manufactured by CNC Engineering. On-site installation and operators instruction manual is necessary. The government intends to procure and negotiate the Vestibular Rotary Chair with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1 if no other responsible offerors are received.
