The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Headquarters intends to procure a subscription for the AeroSpace Daily Electronic Subscription Publications Online for NASA HQ and other NASA centers. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/HQ intends to purchase the items from Avaition Week Group, Aerospace Daily Online, under authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1), only one responsible source. Aerospace Daily is the prime source of intelligence and hard news for the defense and space industries. The daily alerts you to actions affecting current profits and long-range planning, DOD proposals, production funding, new research and development, appropriations, national priorities, international pressures, competition, and more. It provides intelligence on people, projects and technology, plus detail reports for inside, DOD NASA, and Congress. Period of performance is for one year after award. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities to perform the above requirements. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
