The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Edinburg, TX intends to acquire 26,160 + disparlure traps, normal life, laminate type and 240,375 + disparlure traps, extended life, string type. A first article sample is required 10 days after contract award, with the first article sample produced at the same facility as the production quantity. This is a synopsis for request for proposal for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR 15. This procurement will be awarded as a fixed price contract, FOB destination. It is anticipated that a single award will be made but multiple awards will be made if necessary to procure the total quantity. Bids will be accepted for any or all of the requirements. Delivery of one-half the quantity is required by February 27, 1998 with the balance due by March 15, 1998. The copy of the solicitation, 25-M-APHIS-98, is to be released on or about January 12, 1998.
