SPECIAL NOTICE TO COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY (CBD) AO 98-OSS-01 Release Date: January 5, 1998 Proposals Due: April 6, 1998 Announcement of Opportunity for the University-class Explorer Program. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Office of Space Science (OSS), is releasing a NASA Announcement of Opportunity (AO 98-OSS-01) for the University-class Explorer and Missions of Opportunity. NASA intends to select two University-class Explorers to launch by the end of June 2001. A Mission of Opportunity may also be selected. The science objectives covered by the AO include those in the currently defined OSS science themes of the Astronomical Search for Origins and Planetary Systems; the Sun-Earth Connection; and the Structure and Evolution of the Universe. Participation is open to all categories of organizations, foreign and domestic, including industry, educational institutions, nonprofit organization, NASA centers, and other Government agencies.
