sbjackson@usgs.gov. The U.S. Geological Survey, has a requirement to
contract for mapping srvices in Ada County, Idaho. The services are to
be obtained through Firm Fixed-Price contract. Cost range is between
$100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Expected performance period is ninety (90)
days. Project consists of photogrammetic services, topographic mapping,
horizontal and vertical control surveys, land surveys, and geodetic
surveys in order to produce accurate two-foot contour maps of about 65
sq. Miles (26.1X2.5). Contractor is to provide all personnel and
equipment necessary to accomplish second and third order accuracy
standards (NGS Standards). Photogrammetic facilities must be capable of
reproducing topographic mapping that conforms with National Map
Accuracy Standards. Topographic surveys must meet requirements of
January 1995 Federal Emergency Management Agency Aerial Mapping and
Survey Specifications for Photogrammetric Mapping and must use totally
automated systems with Global Positioning System (GPS) capability.
Firms are to: (1) comply with Tri-Service Spacial Data
Standards:(2)provide a detailed list of survey instruments indicating
age, brand name, and mechanical condition: (3) submit survey and
mapping data, such as 3D Microstation design files (*.dgn), typical
field notes and data collection files, in Microstation and DOS ASCII
format on 3.5 inch diskette or on CD-ROMS and: (4) have e-mail
capability for project updates, status reports, and file transfer
abilities (FTP). All work is to be supervised by a Registered Land
Surveyor. SELECTION CRITERIA: (a) Firms are to provide detailed resumes
for Professional Civil Engineer / Supervisory Professional Land
Surveyor, Supervisory Cartographic Technician, Stereo-plotter Operator;
Cartographic or CADD Technician; and field parties: (b) Firms are to
indicate specialized experience and technical competence in: (1) Field
surveys (topographic & geodetic);(2)Aerial photography by precise
aerial mapping camera; (3) Geodetic survey using GPS; (4)Stereo-plotter
compliation;(5)Analytical aero-triangulation;; (6)Photographic
reduction: (7)GIS data development and system design compatible with
National Spacial Transfer Standards (SDTS);(8) Creation of 3D digittal
files, derived from both photogrammetric and field survey total
stations methods compatible with Microstation
format:(9)Orthophotography graphics from aerial mapping. (c)Firms are
to demonstrate the capacity to accomplish the work in the required
time. (d)Firms are to demonstrate past performance on contracts with
Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control,
quality of work and compliance with performance schedules. Please

approach, quality control procedures and organizational configuration

one completed SF 254 and one completed SF 255 by no later than 3:30 PM
PST, February 20, 1998 to be considered for selection to the address
