This requirement is for a Full Service Agreement with Dionex Corporation in order to maintain four Dionex 4500 and one 2010 Ion Chromatography Systems. The full service agreement shall provide both preventative maintenance as well as full service, including priority scheduling, access to parts, exchange and loaner components, upgrades at no cost, and operator training at no cost. Because of their unique nature and specialized patents held solely by Dionex, these instruments may only be serviced by an authorized Dionex service Representative. Based on information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1, the Government considers the item specified as a sole source from Dionex Corporation, Sunnyvale, CA and proposes to negotiate a one year basic purchase order with two twelve month option periods with that firm on that basis. However should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required item or its functional equivalent (based upon the criteria herein) are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement. An affirmative response would include literature, brochures and other materials which correspond to the required item stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. Since no Request for Quotes SF18 exists, request for such documents without accompanying information will be considered non-responsive to this request without further consideration.
