Romero 505-667-7583. The Department of Energy (DOE) Los Alamos Area Office (LAAO) intends to contract with Ray J. Armenta, 6405 Concordia N. E., Albuerque, NM 87111, to provide consultant services to assist the Los Alamos Area Office (LAAO) to develop a functioning citizens? advisory board (CAB) that meets DOE/LAAO's need for stakeholder input and direction on environmental restoration, waste management, and other environmental issues. The Northern New Mexico Citizens' Advisory Board (NNMCAB) has already been established, but the contractor's goals will include defining a revised mission statement and revised by-laws for the reorganized NNMCAB and ensuring that the NNMCAB delivers on DOE/LAAO's requirements for stakeholder input on environmental issues. The contractor will also be responsible for establishing community participation and ownership in the NNMCAB's recommendations and for creating a community selection process for NNMCAB members. The anticipated period of performance is less than one year. The contract will be negotiated on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6-302.1.
