Dunn, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-9220 The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a need to acquire LEXIS/NEXIS Data services for Fiscal Year (FY) 1998, by placing a delivery order against the Library of Congress/FEDLINK Basic Ordering Agreement #98CLFB70005 -- The FBI intends to renew the subscription with LEXIS/NEXIS for the continued services which contain an extensive array of databases with nearly 60 million documents and offers a full range of legal, legislative, regulatory, company, financial, medical, news and current affairs information -- The LEXIS service includes access to case law, administrative decisions, statues, regulations, law reviews, specialty publications and more -- A comprehensive set of specialized libraries that cover more than 30 areas of Federal and State practice -- In addition, the service houses international law libraries for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of France -- Libraries and publications in the NEXIS service are global in scope and cover a variety of topics including business, government, finance, politics, technology, and general news -- Three libraries are dedicated to Federal and State legislation, and to Federal executive and campaign materials -- Full text and abstracted medical information are housed in MEDIS -- The Financial Information Service includes company and financial information on public and private corporations throughout the world -- Destination: Within the 48 contiguous states, the District of Columbia, and Hawaii, Alaska, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico-Any interested party capable of meeting the FBI's requirement should submit evidence of capability within 30 calendar days of this notice -- GSA or other schedule information, and associated information to permit a full and complete evaluation -- All responsible sources will be considered -- No solicitation document will be issued -- Oral communications are not acceptable and will not be honored -- The award is contingent upon the available funds of Fiscal Year 1998.
