Furr, CACM, Procurement Analyst Andrews AFB MD intends to issue, on or about 20 Jan 98, a solicitation for Protective Service and Anti-Terrorism Training. Contractor to provide firing range, shooting range, and driving range for hands on instruction. Contractor to provide all personnel, facilities, equipment, tools, transportation, other items and services necessary to provide both hands on and classroom instruction. Training conducted must be current and up-to-date. Proposals will be evaluated on the following factors: the quality of training; past performance; quality of instructors; adequacy of security facility; adequacy of the shoot house, firing range; adequacy of the driving range; quality of lesson plans; the number of, the condition of, and the quality of the training vehicles; evidence of prompt repair of vehicles; quality of surveillance detection; and quality of route analysis instruction. This acquisition is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns. The SIC Code is 8299. Business size must be included with your writtenrequest for a copy of the solicitation. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. Only written requests for a copy of the solicitation will be honored and only one copy per firm. All information required for submission of an offer will be included in the solicitation package. We do not issue receipts for either your request for the solicitation package or for your offer. Requests for information must be in writing, no information will be given over the phone. Only requests received directly from the firm will be honored. The Government is contemplating a contract for a basic period of six months plus four one year option periods. The Government reserves the right not to exercise the options.
