CONS Langley AFB, ramrakhs@acccons.langley.af.mil. The U.S. Air Force
intends to procure services for E-4B/747 Aircrew Training. Currently
two methods of training are being considered. Under the first option,
the contractor will provide all of the personnel and equipment
necessary to train Air Force aircrew members in E-4B/747 flying
procedures. This includes a qualified instructor, the aircraft, fuel
etc. This does not include simulator training which is procured under
a separate contract. The second option the Air Force is considering is
to lease a 747-200 and locate it at Offutt AFB, NE. Under this option,
the Air Force would provide its own instructors. ACC CONS/LGCU is
currently doing market research to determine which option is most
advantageous to the government. Contractors capable of providing either
service are requested to contact Staci Ramrakha, the contract manager,
at (757) 764-4247 ext 150 or Ramrakhs@acccons.langley.af.mil.
Contractors responding to this announcement will be requested to
complete a questionnaire and to spend approximately 30 minutes
discussing what their companies have to offer. Interested parties
should respond not later than 23 Jan 1998. (0006) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0079 19980108\U-0004.SOL)
