DESCRIPTION: Project generally consists of, but is not limited to the following: 1) Furnish competent surveying resources to properly layout the subject sites and provide horizontal and vertical control. 2) Perform demolition work and restore sites at various locations on the airport, including: remove concrete foundations and conduit for the Localizer antenna foundation; remove concrete foundations, conduit, and superstructure for the abandoned Glide Slope tower and equipment shelter; remove concrete pier foundations, steel tower, electronic equipment and conduit for 2 each Runway Visual Range (RVR) sites; remove the concrete foundations, conduit and superstructure for the abandoned Middle Marker equipment shelter and antenna support pole; remove the abandoned antenna support pole at the Outer Marker site; remove the existing Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway Alignment Indicator Lights (MALSR) threshold bar and light stations, including concrete foundations, conduit, cable, junction boxes, fencing, etc. The MALSR equipment and lights shall be disassembled, packed, crated and shipped the FAA. The Contractor shall salvage or dispose of the remaining items off- airport. 3) Remove MALSR equipment and install ALSF cabling at the existing Inner Marker/MALSR equipment shelter. 4) Install crushed rock access roads. 5) Install reinforced concrete access roads. 6) Perform site preparation work at the ALSF-2 including: Grading and earthwork; provide and install 1000 gallon underground diesel fuel storage tank and related piping; install reinforced concrete foundations; provide and install 24' x 68' pre-engineered metal building; install GFM of 175 KW engine generator and electrical equipment; install transformer pad and secondary power cables; install Earth Electrode System and Lightning Protection System and other grounding features; relocate existing airport perimeter fencing and install new. 7) Install threshold bar and light stations. 8) Provide and install structural steel towers. 9) Install government furnished equipment in existing ATCT. 10) Trench and install control cable. 11) Perform operational testing for the ALSF-2 system. 12) Restore all sites to previous condition. 13) Install and maintain erosion control measures. 14) Implement and maintain a quality control plan to ensure contract compliance. Conduct all required tests and checks to verify contract compliance. (0006)
