Project No. ITX89926/ ATX97803,Construction Services for new cargo
search facility and additional roadway with improving site conditions
to the existing Columbia Border Station, in Laredo, Texas. Cost Range
is between $1,000,000 and $1,500,000. Work includes, but is not limited
to: Providing all labor and materials required for construction of a
Cargo-Search Facility, additional roadways and improving the existing
site condition. Constructing new structures and appurtenances including
a cabinet building for X-ray equipment and transport conveyance and
Operation and Control Structure, two (2) prefabricated forty-five (45)
SF booth, as well as other development at the site including pavement,
erosion control of existing soil condition, utilities, connection to
existing utilities, electrical, mechanical, and all other items as
indicated in the solicitation. This project is set aside for small
businesses only. This is a negotiated procurement and will require
submission of technical and price proposals in accordance with the
solicitation and will result in a firm-fixed price contract. Technical
evaluation factors will be listed and described in the solicitation.
Past performance and experience and qualifications of key personnel
will be used as two of the evaluation factors in the award of the
contract. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to
the solicitation. The greatest value concept will be used for
selecting the contractor. The goal of this method of evaluating
technical factors and price is to select the proposal that offers the
greatest value to the Government, by giving the most for the money, and
not necessarily the lowest price. Solicitation issue date is on or
about February 5, 1998. Proposal due date is on about March 10, 1998.
A non-refundable fee in the amount of $50.00 will be assessed for these
documents. Submit all requests and payments for specifications and
attachments by FEDEX, or comparable, or certified mail directly to the
GSA Reproduction Services Plant Number 57, Attn: Marvin Graham, 501 W.
Felix, Warehouse 4, Dock 4, P.O. Box 6473, Fort Worth, TX 76115.
Payment must be submitted with the request for solicitation documents.
Make cashier's checks or money orders payable to the General Services
Administration Reproduction Services Plant No. 57. Pre-payment for
delivery is required by including Fedex, or comparable, pre-printed
labels complete FEDEX, or comparable, billing account
numbers/instructions. Request for specifications and drawings not
including pre-payment and pre-printed labels, will not be honored. NO
PERSONAL OR COMPANY CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Project Numbers
ITX89926/ATX97803 MUST be annotated on the check and mailing labels.
All requests should be received by the anticipated solicitation issue
