Supply ATM Access Concentrators and installation to support the Joint Broadcast Service (JBS) and Global Broadcast Services (GBS) advanced satellite telecommunications systems for the BC2A Program currently installed in Bosnia and the European theater. An essential component of the present telecommunications systems is the Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) switching technology, which is unique and patented by Yurie. An Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract with a base period of one year and two one-year options is anticipated. This is a sole source procurement to Yurie Systems, Inc., for reasons of proprietary data since form, fit and function compatibility requirements of existing systems must be met.
