The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has a requirement for the Operation and Maintenance of the NRL Vacuum Electronics Engineering Facility (VEEF). The major task under this procurement will include the design of experimental devices; fabrication, assembly and test of experimental devices; operation of the vacuum electronics processing facility, and maintenance of appropriate equipment and software. Specifically, the work will include the design, fabrication, assembly, and test of experimental microwave and millimeter-wave vacuum electronic devices, evaluation and analysis of electron emitting surfaces, the maintenance of associated hardware, and the analysis of emerging microwave and millimeter-wave technologies which complement or compete with vacuum electronics technology. The period of performance for the Base effort is 6 months with four 12 month options. Numbered Note 26 applies. NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs.
