(760) 939-9652 The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division
(NAWCWPNS), China Lake, California intends to procure on a competitive
basis, diagnosis, repair and engineering services, technology
insertion, software services, configuration management, training and
equipment/parts for the Tri-Service Global Positioning System
(GPS)Range Application Program (RAP) Test and Evaluation (T&E) and
Training Ranges. The contract type will be Time and Materials
(T&M)Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). The period of
performance will be for one base year with four one year option
periods. The services to be provided will support a variety of GPS
Instrumentation Systems (GPSIS) including survey equipment, vehicle
tracking, timing equipment, precision Time-Space-Position Information
(TSPI) systems, the Advanced Range Data Systems (ARDS) Full Scale
Development (FSD), Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and the Full Rate
Production (FRP) systems, the ARDS system which utilizes the Extended
Area Tracking System (EATS) transmitter, and a variety of other GPS
instrumentation. The services will be provided at both the contractor's
site and the GPS RAP range sites. The contract is subject to the
Service Contract Act. Wage determination have been requested for Orange
and Los Angeles Counties, California, Okaloosa County, Florida, La Paz,
Yuma and Cochise Counties, Arizona, Kern County, California, Ventura
County, California, St. Mary's County, Maryland, Dona Ana and Otero
Counties, New Mexico, and all counties of Utah. The Contracting Officer
will request wage determinations for additional localities if asked to
do so in writing 15 days prior to solicitation closing. The
solicitation will be released on or about January 22, 1998 and will
close 30 days thereafter. All responsible sources may submit a proposal
which will be considered. This RFP will be available for downloading
from the Internet and may be found through the 2.0 Contracts Competency
