Z -- REPAIRS TO BRIDGES BETWEEN WINGS 3 & 5 AND 4 & 6, BANCROFT HALL AT THE U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY, ANNAPOLIS, MD SOL N62477-97-Q-0819 DUE 020998 POC Dawn McClyment, Purchasing Agent, 410-293-3166 Fax 410-293-4383 The work includes, but is not limited to the following: removal of existing fully adhered rubberized membrane and joint sealants from the decks and parapets of the second level bridges between wings 3 & 5 and wings 4 & 6 at Bancroft Hall, and the installation of new joint sealants and new fluid applied polyurethane elastomeric deck coating system on the decks and parapets of the second level bridges between wings 3 & 5 and 4 & 6 at Bancroft Hall; concrete repairs (which first includes the removal of an asbestos containing tar like substance on the surface of some of the deteriorated concrete) to the underside of beams and slabs above existing drop ceilings at the first and second levels of the bridges between wings 3 & 5 and wings 4 & 6 at Bancroft Hall. Removal and replacement of existing drop ceilings and the temporary supporting of wires and conduits above the drop ceilings will be necessary in order to perform concrete repairs (Note: reinstallation of the drop ceilings between wings 3 & 5 will not be required). The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, transportation, services and equipment necessary for and incidental to all designated work. This procurement is unrestricted. All responsible sources are encouraged to respond. The SIC Code for this project is 1542. The date for availability of this solicitation is 22 January 1998. The date for receipt of quotes is 9 February 1998. The estimated cost range for this project is between $50,000 and $100,000. There is no charge for this solicitation.
