Musgrove, Contracting Officer (301)295-6491 This is a notice of contract action 15 days before an issuance of a solicitation. Solicitation number N00168-98-Q-0095 will be issued 26 January 1998 for the Naval Medical Information Management Center (NMIMC) Bethesda, MD. The requirement is for the development of a prototype model of the Naval Medical Center, San Diego obstetrical clinic under the direction of the Obstetrical Ambulatory Services Manager. The objective of the simulation model development effort is to facilitate discussion with the Functional Proponency Workgroup for the Corporate Executive Information System (CEIS) towards methods of identifying and preparing requirements statements for decision support tools. The functional objective of this simulation model is to determine the minimum facility capacity and staff requirements needed to meet the performance parameters established by an Ambulatory Services Manager within the San Diego region. The resulting working model is not intended to have an operational life of more than 2 years without further coordination and approval from the CEIS Program Office. The Government will evaluate factors and significant subfactors based on the order of their relative importance. 1. Price or cost; 2. Experience in creating simulation of inpatient or outpatient obstetrical services; 3. Experience in developing health care simulation models using MedModel; 4. Experience in developing health care simulation models for Department of Defense (DOD); 5. Documentation of health care consultation with military providers and staff.
