Issued to incorporate additional NSNs into the solicitation and to update estimated annual demand quantities. This solicitation is for the procurement of part-numbered items manufactured by Stewart and Stevenson, DW Industries, Parker-Hannifin Corp., Midland Brake,Inc. and others. All NSNs are available for download under the "special download" menu item on the DSCC Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB). Dial-up access to the EBB is available from any PC with modem and communications software by dialing (614)692-6841 or 1394. Access via the Internet is also available by opening a Telnet session to 131.74.160.39. Access is also available via the World Wide Web-(WWW) at http://www.dscc.dla.mil./p/pl/ple/cit5.html. Offerors should be aware that there is a potential for multiple awards. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the Government. The total shall not exceed 4 years. This is an unrestricted acquisition with a 10% preference for SDB concerns. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Approved Sources are: Stewart and Stevenson, DW Industries, Parker-Hannifin Corp., Areoquip Corp., Midland Brake,Inc. and others. This proposed procurement includes a family group of items within Federal Supply Class (See Remarks). Automated Best Value Model (ABVM) applies. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision will be based upon a combination of price, past performance, delivery, Mentoring Business Program and Socioeonomic Program as described in the solicitation.
