The project entails the preparation of drawings and data, the manufacture, shop testing, preparation and loading for for shipment, provision of installation engineering and design, and delivery of equipment (together with all accessories and spare parts) for a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system which will serve to automate control and operation of the five hydroelectric generation units at the Soo Locks Complex. The services of an Erecting Engineer shall also be furnished to assist in the installation and field testing of the SCADA system and to ensure that the equipment warranty is in effect. Installation of the SCADA system and auxilliary equipment will be accomplished by others. Training courses shall also be provided for Government personnel, as described in the specifications. The SCADA system will contain three master stations, remote terminal units, an automatic synchronizing system, printers and UPS.
