This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. This is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. SIC Code 5045 applies, with a size standard of 500 employees. Furnish 16MB SIMM Chips, 72 Pin Module, 60 ns EDO, P/N CL16M72E, in accordance with the following specifications. 2000 EACH SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Module Configuration: Single power of 5V+/- 10%; low power 4400mW max operating. 88mW max standby. All inputs and outputs shall be TTL compatible. Max operating altitude 10,000 ft. Operating temperature 0 to 50 degrees C. Storage temperature 55 to 125 degrees C. Operating humidity 20% to 80%. Storage humidity 5% to 90%. 4,194,304 words by 32 bits extended data output module. Optimized for high density and large capacity in a single in-line package. 2. Vendor must provide a major original-equipment-manufacture (OEM) product. Each module must be labeled individually (both externally and on the module itself) and packaged in anti-static bags. Labeling must be by the vendor only; i.e., no re-labeling or re-marking is permitted. 3. Vendor must have existing in-house engineering, configuration, testing and design departments. 4. Quality control process must yield a return rate of less than 0.3 percent on the above module configuration and specifications. Quality control return percentage is to be based on the following parameters: a. Pick and place equipment yielding 10,000 modules per day. b. Test equipment capacities of 10,000 modules per day. c. Daily orders not to exceed 30% of daily manufacturing capacity. d. QC stations with test equipment at each station to ensure 100% functionality. e. 20% random line audits to ensure fit, form and function of each module. 5. Items shall have a lifetime warranty. 6. The finished product must be made in the U.S.A. 7. Vendor shall have available toll-free telephone technical support between the hours of 9:00am eastern time and 6:00pm pacific time. 8. Vendor shall have the capability to furnish replacement items within 24 hours of notification of defect, to any of SBA's 96 offices located nationwide. Delivery to SBA Headquarters, 409 Third St. SW, Washington, DC 20416; FOB Destination; by 2/6/98 or sooner.
