99 -- AIRDROP INCLINOMETER SOL 523&&&-9801-0001 POC Ms. Jo Ann Feighert, Contract Specialist, (254) 288-9183, or Mr. Ted Panknin, Contracting Officer, (254) 288-9532 (Site Code TM01) Sources are sought to provide a Standard Commercial Airdrop Inclinometer to the Department of the Army, Test and Experimentation Command, Airborne and Special Operations Test Directorate, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The Airdrop Inclinometer shall acquire precision attitude measurements (oscillation, pitch, roll) on parachutists and air-dropped equipment in relation to altitude changes during the drop sequence. The attitude data will be used to evaluate and test the equipment and procedures. The proposed Inclinometer shall provide hardware and software for initial acquisition of the attitude and oscillation of the item of interest and continuous acquisition of that physical parameter during the period of interest. The data acquisition period is for five seconds prior to the time of interest's exit from the aircraft until two seconds after the item of interest has impacted the ground. The device shall incorporate a methodology for continuous measurement of inclination and oscillation. A mathematical interpolative solution for periods of time when the sensor cannot acquire angle data is not acceptable. The solutions to problems arising from the software and hardware with methodology is the responsibility of the vendor. This notice is not a requirement for proposals.
